Qontext tag
Qontext tag is how Qontext works inside Slack: mention it in a channel or thread to get an answer from the context repository, or to have it write what the conversation just settled into the repository.
What is Qontext tag?
Qontext tag connects the Qontext platform to Slack as a Client. Once it has joined a channel, mentioning @Qontext in any message or thread brings the context repository into that conversation directly, without opening a separate tool.
Why does Qontext tag exist?
Most questions in a company get asked in Slack, and most answers never end up anywhere durable. Someone re-asks what was already answered, and a decision made in a thread last week is invisible to anyone who wasn't in it. Qontext tag answers and captures at the point where the conversation already happens, instead of asking people to look something up or write it down somewhere else afterward.
How does Qontext tag work?
Mention @Qontext in any channel or thread it has joined. For a question, it searches the context repository and every connected source, then answers in the same thread. For an instruction, it writes what was just discussed into the context repository directly, the same as asking a context agent, so a decision made in Slack becomes part of the company's context without need for manual transfer.
Access controls decide what the Qontext tag Client can reach. Every change it makes is versioned like any other change to the repository, and files marked for review hold for a change review before they apply.
