What is a business context repository?
A context repository can be run by anyone: a single person keeping their own notes, projects, and reference material in one structured, versioned place. A business context repository is the same idea scaled to an organization: many people and many AI agents reading from and contributing to one shared repository instead of everyone keeping their own separate copy of the company's knowledge. It can hold whatever an organization needs represented, not only sales data, processes, decisions, projects, teams, documentation, customers, or anything else the business runs on.
Why does a business context repository exist?
An individual can use a personal context repository because there's only one person's knowledge to keep current and only one person with access. An organization can't: multiple people create and edit content, different teams need different access to the same underlying knowledge, and whatever gets built has to stay accurate as many people and systems change it. A business context repository exists to give an organization the same benefit an individual gets, one current, versioned source, at the scale and with the governance a company needs.
How does a business context repository work?
It's built by pulling entities and files out of a company's connected data sources and its people's own contributions, then organizing them into a structure that mirrors how the business actually operates, whatever entities and processes that happens to be. Every file keeps a version history, changes can be drafted and reviewed before they land, and continuous updates keep the repository current as connected sources change. Access controls apply per user and per group, so a shared repository doesn't mean shared access, each person and agent only reads what they're permitted to.
